The entire roll is used because no clamps are necessary. I've even used it sanding drywall seams when I built an in-law apartment. Second is the sanding quality, which is very good. First is the ease of installation.
I'm a "do it yourself" homeowner who has been using the Porter Cable Stikit sandpaper for years. And I've never had a piece of sandpaper shift while on my sander. Third is the no waste when attaching to the sander. My 100 grit roll is finally coming to an end after at least 5 years of use.
All you need is a flat surface, a utility knife and about 10 seconds. So I can't think of any reason why not to buy this product. I've used it on my Porter Cable Speed-Bloc Finish Sander for upteen projects. There are several things that I feel make this a superior product.
